Chow Mein and beer

This is takeout, "local style" Chow Mein and a "jumbo" sized Singha beer to wash it all down. My daddy always ordered Singha or Tsing Tao beer whenever we went out for Chinese. The embarassing thing is, he pronounced it...or tried to, like a person from China (and he was a big, strapping Caucasian from upstate New York). I wanted to crawl under the table!

  2. Thank you Garden!! My God, your plants and flowers are gorgeous!! I was looking for takeout boxes that would fit Chicago style hot dogs for a customer of mine. I didn't think these would suffice (too big!)so I just filled it with Chow Mein instead. I hate it when I can't find the right things for my food, ugh! I'm useless with printies, unfortunately- or I'd make the boxes myself :-/.

  4. That is wonderful! At least you don't have the opposite problem. Watching my dad trying to order a burger is just as funny!

  5. HAHA!!! Betty, is your dad Asian? My grandfather was Chinese, but born and raised in Hawaii. He had THE thickest pigeon English ever...SO thick, that he may as well have been speaking Chinese ;-). Even I had a tough time trying to decipher what he was saying sometimes.
