Shike! I've got 2 tats as well, just last Friday! When was yours done, Kiv? Mine are much simpler, nothing complicated like yours but I was there for almost 2 over hours. Freaking still hurt. Thought they would have invented a painless method by now!
Saw the octopus. Really cool and very you! Is it your design? I finally got my "anklet" and the old tat (by the same artist 20 odd years ago ) was freshened up and "redesigned" into a pendant for the anklet. The other one is on my back below my neck and it's the symbol for "OM". Cindy has seen it. :) What's your other tat?
Hey guys, sorry about the crappy quality of the vids!! I have to convert them, then get the file sizes super small :-/. Plus, last night, I had a difficult time trying to add text along with the videos...aaargh!!
Yay!!! Grace, I have 10 now, but I swear, I could easily have gone for another while I was in Chicago!! Weren't you in the process of having yours done?? How is it going? Pics please!!!!
Susan, cool!!!! I want to see them!!! I need a wee freshening on an old ass Chinese symbol on my right ankle. The other tat is a symbol that Lance and I got- it is a simple one that's representative of a now defunkt band that we both love (one of my favorite groups). I'll post a pic of it soon! As you can see, I was lying there corpse like while I got that one, lol!!!
Kiva, I wish I could have gone, if for nothing else than to take off your hat so I could see your face! I'm glad you had a good time and I hope you go again. Living so close and seeing everything I missed makes me determined to be there in 2012, dragging Kristy with me.
Unfortunately, the weather was not as seasonally nice as it should have been. Winter is refusing to leave. Growing up in Illinois I can say that we may be more hardened against the cold than Hawaiians, but that wind off Lake Michigan can be a killer for anyone. However, getting inside to a cozy room with a blazing fire is awesome. Whether it's worth the trade-off, I'm not sure.
I was amazed at your tat videos. You never flinched!
I wish there was some footage of Lance getting tattooed, LOL. You look like it's just another day in the life of Kiva. Carolyn, this is really making me bummed I flaked - next year let's do it!!
Hey Kristy. Not sure if Kiva told you this or not, but she filmed me getting inked, and afterwards, accidentally hit the record button instead of the stop button. We were both bummed out that this footage is gone forever now. I promise to have her re-record me getting my 2nd tat, when the 2 of us meet up again in 5 months, OK?
