Thomas Saunders is cranking them out!

My good friend, Thomas Saunders, is back in the saddle, and he's turning out the goods (no pun intended)! After a bout of respiratory illness that nearly put an end to his fabulous skills as a woodturner (and stone, acrylic, and any other material that strikes his fancy), he is back in his workshop! Here is a sampling of some of his latest, and also a pic of the adorable, burly, tattooed man at work (tattoos not on display here):

  1. Fantastic work - I met Tom when he came along to the York fair, in England, with his wife and he bought a piece of my Tudor food!
We had a good old chat - A great character and so talented.

  2. Kiva ... You are making me blush ..again! I'll let you in on a wee secret, but don't tell anyone ...O.K. I will be having a go at mini's full time early in the new year. We are just now looking for a house with a larger shop so I will have more room for my favorite things ... machines!

No dates yet, but likely early spring.

    Take Care,

    Tom

  3. Mags, he certainly is a character ;-)! And yes, SO talented!! I keep waiting for him to finish that Tudor structure he's been working on! I made him a "Tudor aftermath" piece for the dining hall. Tom, we are waiting!!

  4. Wow!! Tom, VERY COOL!!Maybe you could set aside a little nook for me too. To say I am cramped is an understatement. Whenever my sister bulldozes past me, I swivel in my chair and wind up facing the wall, instead of whatever I was working on :-/. I scream on a regular basis over here!

  5. I get bulldozed on a regular basis myself! I end up with my face in my laptop! My two daughters drive me crazy! What happened to my golden years? I've never worked so hard in my life! Linda Atkinson (mom of Kiva and Rhana)

  6. Linda, I know exactly how you feel. I haven't even retired yet and I already have about 18 hours of each of those "golden" days spoken for .. and that doesn't include all the "normal" daily stuff that has to get done.
