Punnet of strawberries

Just when I think I'm through with making fruit for awhile, I decide to sneak in some strawberries. But there is NO basket with fern in sight :-D! Much like mushrooms, I find them very relaxing to make. It's like the equivalent of zoning out while knitting....if I knew how to knit.

  4. Hi Kiva....did you paint the unripe tops or use a skinner shade technique? Definitely the best I've seen!

  8. Cindy, I've never made raspberries before...ever! Something tells me that those wouldn't be quite as relaxing, am I wrong?

Christel, NO WAY!! You are way too kind ;-)!

Thank you, Loly! Ok, how cool are those perfume bottles with the atomizers that you made?? You are SO clever!! I love your baskets, too!!

Karin, I don't use the skinner technique at all, although it's a great thing!! I have a pasta machine but I NEVER use it. It's sitting in a box outside on the patio. Those not quite ripe ones are brushed with red pastel.

    Carol, Wimbledon, lol!!!! Thanks Carol!!

Thank you Linda and Eva, that is so sweet!!

  10. Betty, this is so weird, but I think I answered you on Facebook! WTF?? Hey Betty, I bet you'd rather use the skinner technique since you are such a caning fiend ;-)! I wish that I'd enjoy caning as much as you do, lol!! I'll do it, of course, but it's not something that I relish :-/. I like the pure sculpting part the best! But if you ever have any questions, ask away
    :-D!!

  11. Everyone has told you they are gorgeous and you don't need another right? But I can't help it, Kiva, they are so gorgeous! I never had much luck with strawberries. Mine are almost always sour and I can taste those unripe ones already...*shivers & grimace

  12. Susan, I know what you mean!! Me too! What's up with that? Even the ones that look really ripe, I bite into and get a lovely, sour surprise :-/.

I love your pillows!! I tried to leave a comment, but it never worked?? I've been having browser problems...it keeps telling me to install the flash plugin, and I do! Over and over again! Aaargh!!
