Here's the final installment of the fish workshop. There was actually once last little bit of video after this one, but....erm, I started going a little batshit crazy, probably from the heat.

I was on vacation with my boyfriend (although we stayed on my island and hopped over to another), and he requested that I make something so he could video it and show it to his mom. They were very curious about the whole process, so he used my iphone to film me making a fish (big surprise!). This will be the dorkiest thing you've ever seen, but get a load of my clay drawer. It is a hot mess....kind of like my hair, which my mom butchered a couple weeks ago :-/. I've had a bitch of a time converting, chopping up, and trying to upload the four parts to my blog, so I finally put them all on Megaupload :-/. It's a pain in the ass, but if you'd like to see the "workshop", you can download it from links below. There is more to the the workshop, but I'll upload it only if you guys want to see me put the finishing touches on the fishy ;-). You can't download these files simultaneously, just one after the other, btw.

This is a restaurant in Taiwan, and it's named Modern Toilet. I don't know about you, but the concept fails to get my juices flowing (no pun intended). Pretty wacky, though! The first pic is the outside of the restaurant, and the second one shows what the seating and tables are like ;-)

I made the raw oysters, and I usually follow it up with raw clams. Why, I don't know. Making these shells is very fiddly, particularly clam shells. EVERY time I am making clam shells, I promise myself that I will make a mold of a shell so I don't have to sit here and make every single one by hand. But it never happens :-/. And that's ok. I lost my sanity a long time ago....and I am OCD.

Three years later, here's a new post! My God, I have been horrible with keeping up the blogging lately :-/. Sometimes, I go into a "tunnel" and it takes me awhile to come out again. But here's one of my oyster shucking boards. I made this because I have been eating alot of oysters lately. Fried and steamed, mind you, not raw (no matter how I dress those puppies up, I still can't eat them!).

I have two words: holy sh*t!!!!! Check out this artist's sculptures (many of them are gigantic!). You can find more of his work by just googling his name.
