Recently, I made ALOT of oysters, so what did I do with the "leftovers"?? I stuck eyes in them, what else!?? They're nestled in a little glass bowl with some water and rocks.....except for the two escaping. Lance likes to poke fun at my penchant for adding a couple of things "outside"!!

Oh my! This is amazing...you were actually able to turn oysters in the cutest creatures ever! I love it :)
ReplyDeleteThe best thing what could happen,to have some oysters left over !!!Looks so funny and absolutely originally :_) Jeannette
ReplyDeleteThis really makes me smile - I even think the two escapees look happier than the others... ;O)

Sometimes ... Just sometimes, I worry about you!
ReplyDeleteOnce again you have created an unusual and unique piece ,,, I LOVE IT!
Cheers,
Tom
Kiva, these are my favs, second only to the peeled potato skins with eyes. Hey, Lance, we like the things "outside" ;)
ReplyDeleteI hate it when they escape Alison. The one on the bottom is making a run for it, and I am worried he will stray too far from the pack, and become an oyster escapee!!! NOOOO!!!
ReplyDeleteYour oysters are so Cute! They look like they might have a nice secret...maybe they are hiding something? ;) A Pearl?
ReplyDelete"How do pearls end up inside of oysters?" - Have you made any oysters showing their pearls? (Eyes are almost like pears, I think!)
;)

So CUTE .. Amazingly talented
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone!! I went from cute to revolting in the piece I just made, though. I felt like splashing alot of blood about so I made some severed fish heads and tails. I feel a little weird about following the cute with the greusome, but what the hell!
ReplyDeleteTom, be afraid...very afraid ;-). Lance knows!! Nice to "see" you again, buddy!! That last piece you made is jaw dropping!!
ReplyDeleteKikka, yes!!! I have placed little pearls in open ones before, like on oyster shucking boards! For those, I made them pearlescent ;-).
oh, it is cute! so creative!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Carol :-D!!!
