I didn't make this, I ate it!! I keep doing real food posts, probably because I like to eat :-D. I had seared ahi (with some kind of aioli sauce) and brown rice for lunch. I really love fish prepared that way. They just take a hunk of raw fish and flash fry it in a pan so that only the outside is somewhat cooked, but the inside is raw, baby!! Oh, and I thought I'd try being healthy with the brown rice ;-). Honestly, every time I eat brown rice I kind of wish it was white. That other plate is my mom's. She had lamb chops with mango salsa. I guess you'd call this kind of meal an "haute plate lunch".

kind of a healthy plate lunch...thought that didn't exist. Actually I didn't think you could get brown rice on a plate lunch...I see the mac salad though....
ReplyDeleteI love brown rice ! :) It's an acquired taste, I agree but after a while, I 'd miss it's chewiness if I am eating white rice instead. I notice you post real food whenever you are recovering ? How did it go, dear Kiva. Your tattoo, I mean.
ReplyDeletePamela, LOL!!! Yep, the potato salad was there...and I ate half :-/. It was a super thick slab of fish, though, and I ate all of it and most of the rice. The fish was so lightly seared that I felt like I was eating an extra thick piece of sashimi.
ReplyDeleteSusan, I like brown rice when it's cooked to death...like soft. If it is undercooked even a wee bit, I don't like it. And YES!! I got my tattoo yesterday afternoon. I was in the chair for several hours and it really wasn't that bad. In fact, my ankle was worse, pain wise. I can't snap a pic of it myself, since it's on my upper back, but I'll have someone do it tomorrow, for sure. When I woke up this morning, my tank top was stuck to my upper back, I guess because of the blood?? But I am already thinking of what to get next. Help!!
ReplyDeletemmmm, that looks delicious!
