Ferd Sobol

A customer of mine just mentioned the name Ferd Sobol in an email. The name was familiar, so I googled ;-).
Holy mother of God!! To say that she makes exquisite furniture (and sculptures) is an understatement! Check it out:

  8. When I was a young girl, my mother and I attended a miniatures show and saw Ferd Sobol and his wife, Millie (this was over 20 years ago!). I distinctly remember his gorgeous dining room set rotating on a turntable. The craftsmanship and beauty still sticks in my memory!

  10. I just came acroos the blog entry so I don't know if you'll ever see it but...

Millie and Ferd are two of the nicest people on earth. Many years ago I bought an absolutely gorgeous Hepplewhite sideboard from Ferd. There was no way I could pay for it all at once and he kindly let me pay it off over the course of two years. How many people would do that? It remains one of the prizes of my collection.
