MEAT!!!! Venison chops

Lance gave me a challenge: make Venison. So, I Googled some pics and found one of Venison chops on a pile of veg. This is the result. I tried Venison decades ago, as a child, in Maine, and I remember thinking that it was too gamey....kind of like licking someone's armpit :-/.

  1. WOW, WOW, WOW! That looks so GREAT! I can't believe I might even be willing to bring up my plate for a nice helping of Bambi and grilled veg.

  2. Hehe, Catherine :).

But really Kiva, where did you eat your venison? Have you tried them stir-fried on hot plate with spring onions? I remember how even when we were poor uni students, we would go to this coffeeshop for our venison fix. It was soooooooooooo good but not as good as what you have made here. My goodness, everything on this plate is edible, I am sure!

  3. Unbelievable! It looks good even though I agree with you about the game-ee-ness! LOL

I sometimes have a hard time with goat cheese because of this too.

  8. Thanks everyone!!! And thanks goes to Lancey baby for the challenge ;-). I love challenges!!

LOL, Susan!! I was a youngin', visiting grandpa and grandma Atkinson. Some hunters on that side of my familia. I know that there is a way to prepare Venison so that it's not as gamey....but after that one taste, it put me off. However, I would absolutely try it again, no question. I've had buffalo, ostrich, rabbit, frog, turtle, and hmm...methinks that's it. But, you know, I am game for anything, no pun intended!!

  9. Alison baby, damn him for making me do this, haha!!! I had to make so many components :-/. But it's good because he's pushing me. I can get into a rut, and fall back into making easy stuff, especially at this time of year :-/. But honestly, when it comes to making meat, I get a real rush!

Rosanna!! I hope you are feeling better, sweetie!! Please take it easy, and do not overexert, ok??? We want you around!!!
