Roasted chicken, and round....I can't count anymore.

I made a roasted chicken, perhaps the 200th that I've made. Oh, and I also got drilled for two hours today. My God, this cover up is turning into an ordeal!!! I am having it reworked....AGAIN!!! On one hand, I am so happy that the old one is completely gone, but on the other, I can't rest until it looks the way I want it to look!! I wasn't thrilled with the way it was turning out (the shape, color, everything), so, like the faithful masochist that I am, I returned to start yet another overhaul :-/. The lower half is looking better, but now I need to finish off the upper. Mind you, I am slightly swollen and VERY red....and the colors will fade some, like the intense red and the swirley bits, but this is a sneak peek ;-).

  1. WOW!!! That chicken is incredible!!!!!!!!!! I am glued to my screen (with my mouth hanging open) looking at the texture of the skin and the way it's browned. It's glistening, I can almost smell it. I am going to have to cook one this week with all those gorgeous vegetables and a TON of garlic.

Really? You have made 200 roasted chickens! OMG!

  2. Double WOW! The chicken rocks but that's not unusual.

What is, is the new rose! You are right, Kiva, the new artist is doing a really fab job . The red is so vivid, it looked like blood seeped through your skin to stain the rose. Very very nice! The black works way better than white edges.

  6. I made my hubby look at your chicken and he didn't understand he was looking at a mini- this is beyond fabulous! I agree- my mouth waters just looking at it- and the carrots are flippin perfect!

I really love the rose on the bottom-gorgeous!! Hope it's not too tender for long!

  7. Kiva, come on....really??? Sometimes I wonder if you're pulling our leg and posting pics from a cookbook!! How can that possibly be a miniature made of clay!!!!! Absolute perfection!!!! If it were me, I would think after 200 chickens I would start getting lazy about making them, but you obviously don't have that problem.
I just did a side by side comparison of your tattoos, the first and this new re-do, and though I liked the first one a lot, this is even more beautiful. Definitely an improvement to go with the more subtle highlighting and shading. This one has more depth-looks more 3 dimensional rather than 2. Good call Kiva! Goodbye fat biker, hello emaciated biker, LOL. Now you just need to get this guy into minis as well, so you don't go broke. :D

  12. WOW!!! Thanks guys!! It's like I told Pamela, though, my first attempts looked nothing like this, believe me! It really is just lots of practice (and eating of chicken, lol!).

I like the way this rose looks better than the other one. Now, I just have to wait a few weeks and go back to have him work on the upper half. Maybe I should have him do a different color. The fat biker guy was really old school, which I love, but something was lacking. Maybe they were a little cartoonish and bright?? Mind you, he wasn't done yet, but I'm going to stick with the skinny biker now, haha!!
